Agenda
The ECMP Lead Assessor Course is a 3-day class designed to prepare current ISO 9000 Lead Assessors and/or AS 9100 to effectively conduct ECMP assessments.
Course material includes the following:
Module 1: Understanding the ECMP
- Historic development of the electrical components industry and the need for the ECMP
- ECMP benefits to suppliers and customers
- Clause-by-clause review of TS 62239: “Preparation of an Electronic Components Management Plan
- Sample TS 62239 processes and artifacts from the avionics industry
- IS0 9001 and its relationship to TS 62239
- Clause-by-clause review of the technical requirements of IEC TS 66240: “Use of Semiconductor Devices Outside Manufacturers’ Specified Temperature Range”
Module 2: Lead Assessing the ECMP
- The Process Approach for Management Systems
- IECQ-CECC Avionics Assessment Program (QC 001002-4:2003)
- Rules of Procedure for evaluating compliance with TS 2239
- Overview of ECMP Assessment Process
- Roles and Responsibilities for the Lead Assessor and Subject Matter Expert
- Conducting the Initial Documentation Review
- Completing the On-Site Verification Assessment
- Tips, suggestions, what to look for
Module 3: Case Study
The class supports the application of knowledge and skills in practical activities through the completion of exercises based on a fictional avionics OEM undergoing its first-ever initial ECMP assessment for one of its sites.
