Mark Lutz
He has held a number of positions in these companies, ranging from Quality Inspector, Training Programs Coordinator, Quality Engineer, Quality Manager and Quality Director. Where he was the Quality Director (North American Tool and Die), this company was extensively mentioned in Tom Peter’s best seller: “In Search of Excellence.” He has also worked as a consultant for many years in manufacturing and service-related industries. In more recent years, he has expanded into the environmental field with ISO 14001 training and consulting and is a Greenhouse Gas verifier with accreditations from NSF, the California Climate Registry and from the California Air Resources Board. He has a Bachelor of Science degree from California State University, Los Angeles in Business Management and has taken extensive training since then in a number of business and environmental-related fields including American Society for Quality; Various quality-related courses leading to C.Q.E. certification, Arizona State University, Tucson; “Design of Experiments”, California Institute of Technology; Supplier Quality, David Buker, Inc.; Total Quality Management,” New United Motors Manufacturing Inc. (NUMMI); Various courses related to the Toyota Production System: Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, Total Productive Maintenance, 5-S training, Single Minute Exchange of Dies (SMED), CEEM; Lead Assessor training for ISO 9001, QI; Lead Assessor training for ISO 14001, NS;: Lead Verifier training for ISO 14064, California Climate Action Registr;: Lead Verifier training for California’s LFG and Livestock GHG project protocols and the California Air Resources Board; Lead Verifier training for AB32. Mark is a member of the American Society for Quality, is a co-founder of the “Intermediate Technology Development Group” (ITDG) and founded “The Brain Exchange” in Southern California. |
